PLAY SPACE ATTENDANT: HALIBURTON (PART-TIME)

Hours: Wednesday–Saturday, 9:45 am - 3:15 pm (approx. 22 hrs/week) (Must be available to work weekends)
Rate of Pay: $17.60 per hour, paid semi-monthly
Start Date: Friday, May 1, 2026

Position Overview
The Play Space Attendant is responsible for the day-to-day supervision and maintenance of a small child-focused indoor play environment located within a shared retail space. The successful candidate will work independently for most shifts and must be comfortable managing customer interactions, monitoring play, and maintaining cleanliness without on-site supervision.
This position does not include café or food service responsibilities.
This role does not constitute licensed child care within the meaning of the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014. Children remain under the supervision of their parent or guardian at all times.

Provide welcoming and professional customer service
Monitor safe use of the play space
Enforce posted rules respectfully
Perform routine cleaning and sanitization
Open and close the play area
Process admissions using POS system
Maintain waiver compliance
Maintain organized play environment
Communicate operational concerns to management
Work Environment
This role involves:
Working independently for most shifts
Moderate noise levels associated with children’s play
Interaction with families and general public
Light cleaning duties throughout shift
Shared retail environment
Qualifications
Required:
Ability to work independently
Strong customer service skills
Reliability and punctuality
Comfortable interacting with children and caregivers
Ability to maintain a clean and organized environment
Must be available to work weekends (Saturday required).
Reliable availability during posted operating hours.
Assets:
Experience in recreation, retail, or child-focused setting
POS experience
Cleaning/sanitization experience
Physical Requirements
Standing and walking for extended periods
Bending, squatting, and reaching
Light lifting (toys, bins, cleaning supplies)
Maintaining attentiveness in active environment
Employment Conditions
Part-time hours; no guarantee of minimum hours
Casual relief coverage may occur
Scheduling based on operational needs
